Spilsby Light Nights

2019, 2020, 2022 & 2024

Spilsby Light Night is now part of the SessionsArts programme but began in 2019 as a pilot project and a first for the Different Light Collective (Producer Simon Hollingworth, Creative Technician Andy Johnson Smith and myself) and attracted audiences of over 1500 people.

 

2020. The second Spilsby Light Night  increased audiences to over 2000 people and featured a full community light parade and a town full of installations, interactive light sculptures, VR experiences, projections onto buildings, performances from the Tom Dale dance company and more. Artists worked with local schools and community groups in the run up to the event.

2022 The third 'post pandemic' event took place in March and was once again huge success that built upon knowledge gained from delivering the 2020 event.
