The Swingin Elvises Performing 2002 - 2007
One of the most successful ridiculous ideas that's ever happened and my first work as a performer!
"Elvis lives on trapeze.......Raw energy, immense skill and fantastic wigs...a hip thrusting, hamburger munching rollercoaster ride of a show with more glitter than christmas" a Swingin' Elvis press release 2003!
After being shown at The Circus Space, Shaw Theatre, The Glastonbury Festival Big Top, Edinburgh Fringe and various outdoor events, it became a popular cabaret act booked to appear at many big corporate events in the UK and abroad.
However, the Elvises found their natural home in 'Lost Vagueness' - becoming a regular act for the infamous Ballroom and Casino at Glastonbury Festival - including appearing as the support act for Fatboy Slim. The Elvises also performed at all the Lost Vagueness events at The Coronet, in Elephant & Castle. Essentially Lost Vagueness was immersive theatre at its best - everyone playing and little to distinguish performers from audience. It paved the way for how many festivals have become theatrically developed.
